Adorable, thanks for reviewing. I am thinking of making the pinafore dress for my DD, and we cloth diaper too.

I was making the shorts romper and encountered the same problem with front and back not matching, so maybe not something we did wrong? I played with the pattern and instructions for ages trying to see if I messed something up! Yours turned out great!

I've been make the pinafore dress and the front and back don't match there either! So glad it's not just me. It seems like they haven't added the fabric you need to fold over to encase the elastic. I've added a little extra (about and inch) to the top of the back section when cutting out and this seems to fix the problem.
