sewserious1 said... thanks for the review. I have view D cut out and ready to go in a yummy pink fleece for my DGD. I will use a longer zipper though and be careful with the neckline! I am not putting the booties on though, I will be using ribbing around the legs as her feet sweat horribly! I also have her a fleece robe cut out. 12/6/03 5:37 AM

JDpenelope said... Beautiful model, nice sleeper. Love the booties with the Jiffy Grip. Recently, I went to 2 dif stores (Hancock's and Joann's) for this type product (maybe a different brand), but it was backordered at both stores!. Was it difficult to install on the booties? Thanks for zipper tip. Any problems with fitting over diapers? Sewserious1, look forward to your reviews. 12/6/03 11:01 AM

Hilary said... Oh he is sooo cute!! The sleeper's not bad either~lol~actually I love it! very cute and cozy looking. I have to get this pattern, my nephew's mom says he needs a sleeper w/ feet and the simplicity just happen to be on sale I think at Joanns today, so I will go check this out! Thanks for the tip on the neck ribbing and the zipper~good idea about the elastic too, I will have to try that. I notice I also have bad luck w/ the ribbing on the big 4 patterns~they're always oversized and don't look good. I usually just shorten the width(around the neck) quite a bit, and that seems to work well. Thanks again for the review!

Karen Bowers said... cute pj's. i have the KS one piece zipper pj's in toddler and 4-8 sizes because my guys love those one pieces. i even add hoods to them. they've even served as the base for halloween costumes (without the booties!), so i've gotten my money's worth out of that pattern. it also has an easier foot because the feet are part of the leg, so you sew the elastic in before you sew up the leg; you do however have to be careful sewing in the jiffy sew. i've heard that you can use fabric paint on regular fabric to create custom "jiffy grip". 12/17/03 1:15 AM

Celeste said... Without actually getting up to look, I think this is the pattern I sewed for my nephew. Does it have a view with ribbing on the pant cuffs of the 2 piece version? If so, I made the cuffs really deep so they can be rolled up, then let down as he grows--same with the ribbing on the wrists. I also made the neck ribbing a little longer and the neck a little higher so it's warmer around the neck. This could double as a fleecewear pattern, too. 12/17/03 10:57 PM
Blessed and Highly Favored of God said... Just a warning about that fabric paint. I used it on the slippers I made once (from a Timber Lane pattern) and it leaves marks on my linoleum floor that I have to scrub out. 3/15/07 4:47 PM
