Nice job! I have made this one many times and it is my favorite pattern for gymnastics suits! I liked your modifications!! I have had to adjust the leg hole elastic too...theirs runs really small!

how did you do the elastic? I have been doing the seams on a serger and the elastic with a zig zag stitch on a regular sewing machine. How do you get the double needle finished look on the elastic? thanks!

jcella, I have a coverstitch machine, so I used a zig zag stitch on my regular sewing machine to attach the elastic to the suit and then folded it inward (like it says on the pattern) and then sewed that with my coverstitch machine. I have a 3 needle machine so I can select any if all needles that I use. This gives me a variety of widths. Hope that helps.
