What a sweet little dress! I love the fabric combinations you have chosen. Your beautiful little daughter is just glowing with happiness! If the ribbon is too much of a distraction but you want to make another dress, I guess you could just sew the ends together so that it is totally encased in the casing (redundant?). I think this pattern is a perfect dress for summer both because it is easy to sew and easy to wear.

Adorable dress! I know what you mean about the ribbon being a distraction. I made the version with sleeves for my first grader and inserted elastic in the casing instead of using a ribbon so she could dress independantly and I wouldn't have to worry about the ribbon coming out and having to re-install it.
