If the ribbon is too much of a distraction but you want to make another dress, I guess you could just sew the ends together so that it is totally encased in the casing (redundant?). I made the version with sleeves for my first grader and inserted elastic in the casing instead of using a ribbon so she could dress independantly and I wouldn't have to worry about the ribbon coming out and having to re-install it. 5/26/09 10:19 AM
