hi Tessa this is a very useful pattern which also have made for DH, DS. DH was so pleased with his that he voluntered me to make one for one of his friends ! He wont do that again without askingme first. I used decorative braid to cover seam where collar attaches to the body -just copying what some of the ready to wear vest have. On the last one I made I extended this idea and covered the zip tape too worked out ok Skye

Thanks Skye. I've thought of using decorative braid too, but haven't tried it yet.
