You got yourself a fine looking skirt! I made a skirt yesterday and had the same problem you had: careful measuring but the skirt was still too big. I tried it on as I sewed and took larger seams in each of the 8 gores and that helped, but darn it, in the end it was still a bit big. For what it's worth, your skirt doesn't look too big though. It looks really pretty, and as you say, "it won't fall down over my waist thank goodness for that." Same with my skirt, thank goodness for that! lol

Well, your skirt looks like it fits nicely. And it's so pretty. Sorry about the fitting issues. It must be in the air ~ I am going thru the same thing with a different skirt. ARGH!

Thanks for reviewing this pattern that appears to have a lot of potential. I get the same problem making a skirt. Glad to read you stuck with it and got a successful outcome. Your skirt looks nice.
