Nice looking top, though I agree the bodice could be a bit longer on you. This would give more definition at your waist & maybe break up the triangle. As for your hem how about stablising it with a) lightweight double-sided fusible hemming tape or b) embroidery wash-out stabilizer (I don't know the US brand names sorry).
