I love this pattern but wonder if all the extra fabric at the waist is to much. What do you think?

I think if you want to have less fabric at the waist, you can either leave it up and put your top over it , wear it as a high waist with a skinny belt, or cut down the height of the waistband piece before you sew it. It's a rectangle so I think that it would be quite easy to alter.

I've had this pattern for a while because I've made the pants with the foldover waistband and that worked great, but I never have made it. Thanks for the review, you've inspired me to get sewing on this pattern!
