I do this by using a french curve from the dart point to the seamline and arcing the dart so that it cups the bust. But, I like your gathers and it is probably easier and less frustrating. Rosebeee said... I'm getting close on finishing this myself (just have the skirt left). I have the exact same short-bodice, pointy darts, and neck and armhole gaping! ETA - Nevermind, I found how you fixed yours. I might have to de-construct my bodice a bit and take in the side seams at the underarm. But I think I'll wait until I have it further put-together as I just can't tell yet how much (if any) gapping will remain. I can always pick up some clear elastic and stitch that to the underside of the v-neck and back armhole! 6/29/09 9:44 AM
