I didn't see that this was a balloon skirt at 1st, so you are right about the lining needing to be narrower. I do like the waist and hip lines on you, it's very flattering but a shame the skirt slips.

The applique is a picture I downloaded from the Internet, it was inspired by a favorite designer of mine. How to do the applique is explained in my review of Vogue 2676

Hello I haven't bought this pattern yet as I am trying to find a layout photo but without much success. I want to make the jacket but the information on the back of the envelope doesn't say much. Is the jacket straight (no shaping) from bust to hem with a belt to tie in at the waist OR is it bloused with a seam across the waist and a peplum at the hips (shaped)? Impossible to tell from either the photo or the line drawing! Regards, Vianne
