Interesting garment... thanks for reviewing. I do enjoy all the vintage and the historic reviews here on PR. I recall when cottons were routinely sewn from 35/36" fabric... the wide stuff was (only) 44 - 45" back in my earliest sewing days. Thinking about that era and before makes me really appreciative of the wide fabrics available today. If I ever need a bustle I will be prepared.. Thanks!

Wow! Neat looking undergarment. You might try looking at an electrical supply place. Zip ties are used for bundling computer network wires when putting in a LAN(local area network). I love how computers and old clothing styles intesect. I've bought muslin in 36" width.

I am thinking about doing this. I have wide tie wraps but I am going to go for the metal. Nice of the head up on the ruffle bits.
