This pattern has intrigued me with it's collar lines. I don't like lapels. This looks very nice and you certainly are an excellent, adventurous sewer. I eyed that carrot silk many times, but never bought it. Nice to have a lining with a sense of humor.

Nice work! The suit looks amazing on you and I love the lining, of course. I'm afraid to do anything with a fly...you state the pants were easy and sewed up relatively quickly. Good instructions for the fly?

I am always amazed and impressed with the different projects you try and how many projects you've turned out since I've been on PatternReview. I love the lining and think the whole outfit looks completely sleek on you.

Sleeve is cut too tight; the armhole is too high, much higher than on other patterns. I have to recut & reattach the sleeves. Not happy.

Nikki, Fantastic work!!! Please, advise if the front facing is easy to place on the jacket and the top....it has concealed button holes? This is frightening me a little as I'm not a really experienced sewer... Regards Sophie

Wow - this style really suits you! I immediately wanted one for myself, but the Vogue site implies one needs a waist (no rectangle in the guide). I really like your sliced carrot lining on the orig too.

I really appreciate your work and your reviews, Nikki. I'm not a long tall drink of water like you so I don't choose the same patterns but I learn so much about the fabrics and the process from what you write and photograph. You always use quality fabrics :) :) :) The jacket fits quite perfectly in this incarnation and I wonder if a silk jersey tee under the vest/top would bring it into the realm of more useable? Just a thought. The Vogue pants also fit marvelously as well.

I have this pattern - I think you did a georgous job - it looks beautiful. The detail you included on the interfacing, button selection, etc... was very helpful. I believe I will revisit this pattern again. The pic inspired me. It really is perfect office attire.
