I like the skirt! I can imagine that you wouldn't buy the fabric again, but the result is great. Perhaps you'll wear it more often than you thought you would.

Funnily enough I almost bought this fabric! It drew me though I knew it was ugly. The skirt turned out really cute.

That is awesome! I made purse accessories with this fabric, so I'm loving seeing it made up as a garment. Your cheetah ribbon accent is fantastic.

Am I the only one who hasn't found this "ugly" fabric somewhere?!? I WANT IT!! It's cute! :) Your skirt is a knock-out! With your permission, ma'am, I intend to find the EXACT same fabric and "borrow" the EXACT same pleating idea, with the EXACT same leopard ribbon! Going to have to pass on the gorgeous shoes, though, as I would fall off of them... ;)

I can see why you bought this fabric, those little dots of colour in some of the checks lift it, witty combination with the cheetah print ribbon.

I see you took my input for your uglier fabric. :) Great results. And your top goes very well and accents the skirt without exaggerating it's boldness.

On its own, this is some seriously ugly fabric. However, you managed to choose just the right pattern and added nice details like the leopard band and the pleated flounce, and you somehow magically transformed this ugly fabric into a super chic skirt! For me, you hit a direct bullseye as far as the goal of the ugly fabric contest. Well done!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Caroleleah, you have my permission to make your skirt exactly like this. Let me know if need the ribbon. LOL. Yes, Cennetta. That's the KS twist top. I made it last year with a matching skirt. I do plan on wearing this skirt even in the winter. Picture it with brown tights, brown shoe-booties, cream turtleneck and a brown military jacket. Throw on some gold jewelry, grab your bronze satchel and you're out the door.

You are indeed a fashion diva, to not only create such a great skirt from an awful fabric, but it sounds like you have wonderful ideas for outfits and accessories - I'd love to see the winter outfit you described! You must have the style to pull this off, too.
