Actually, I like this version better than the original! The idea of the pieced waistband and having it longer and flare out because of sewing it onto the waistband looks great. This looks like a cute summer jacket, I will think about this!

Wow! Your jacket is amazing. What a fantastic spin on the original pattern. I really like what you have done with the waistband and the buttons - I wish I'd used buttons on mine. I'm really not keen on the zip - it does weird things when it's zipped up. Thank you for the lovely compliment though. Have a good 4th July!

I saw your photo and read your review hoping to find out how you created such a wonderful jacket. A mistake, you say? I think not. That wide waistline insert is fabulous. I like it much better than the original magazine version. And...I like the length too. I may have to revisit this pattern.
