Very pretty. In regards to using a 1/8 inch seam allowance, it seems as though you could cut a different size pattern. We all know that the size numbers on patterns and RTW are drastically different and almost meaningless so you may as well just take your measurements and pick a pattern accordingly. The retro dress probably would have fit more easily also. You look lovely in both though.
