Annette, you have done it again! We hereby declare you the "Jacket Queen"! I love this. I have always thought peplums were so cute, and yours is the perfect amount of peplum for this jacket. Is that the proper way to say that? Well, no bother, you know what I mean. And..... that necklace! Wow! SCORE! It matches wonderfully. The buttons of course are great (I did like those the best but the others were in close running!). I thought I might be partial to those since they were the ones you used on the coat you made for Jenna. Great review.... the tutorials for the alterations were terrific. If you would just do a tutorial on a SBA instead of a FBA then my clothes might fit better! LOL!

Wow, what a great jacket and what an excellent and fun review. I know the challenge of FBAs but have never seen it done this way so thanks for the tip. Love the triple topstitch. When you do the jacket in other fabrics, please post. This one is flattering and very chic on you.

Annette what a PRETTY jacket!! I just LOVE the buttons, the necklace, the collar options, the topstitching, just E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G about this jacket!! I'm sure you will get a LOT of use out of this jacket!! It suits you PERFECTLY, Annette!!

That is impressive Annette! Love the fabric and your topstitching is fabulous (isn't that the best stitch?) I find it's easier to control on curves if you keep the needle down if you have that feature on your machine - then you can sort of pivot it slightly to take the next forward-back-forward, and it also works for going around corners.

Great jacket. I love the color, on its own and on you, and I think you made the right choice regarding the buttons. Thanks for the tips on the alterations you made to the pattern - I like that you altered the peplum to keep scale with the rest of the jacket. It fits you perfectly, and who cares what the ELVES think about your bra. They're ELVES, they shouldn't be thinking about that stuff anyway. (And I think Santa knows; I always pictured Mrs. Claus as a bodacious babe).

Kay: Are you "needling down" (how's that for a phrase) after it does the BACK stitch and gets ready to start the first of the two forward stitches, or does it matter? I think I did that a couple times, but I didn't think to do that along the entire curve. Thanks!

Hej Annette! I just woke up to have my near-midnight snack (I would be waking up at this time if I were still in Sweden) and also had to satisfy my fashion fix and ja, I see your super cool review of your FANTASTISK och CHIC jacka. I totally agree with Christas that you are the "Jacket Queen" (ooh see that girl, watch that sewing machine, stitches the jacket queen). Your topstitching, buttons, collar, peplum, or simply everything is totally rad! Simpie's versions are eh-eh for me. However you took this pattern to a great level of artistry and skill. You are AMAZING!
