I don't like tight t-shirts either, but version one looks really nice to me. I have a GAP t-shirt that looks exactly like that and fits exactly like that with the exception of the armscye. It really is a great basic pattern! I would just keep tweaking it until you get the fit just like you want. The good thing about Ottobre is that you can switch out the sleeves since they are almost all interchangeable. When I sew anything in lycra I have to go up a size because of the different stretch factor.

Ah, good point about the lycra being snugger fitting. I'll have to factor that in in the future.

Wow! You achieved a superb fit! It looks very RTW. I hope you make more. Thanks for your reference to MeggieLuLu's tutorial. It certainly would come in handy.
