Ah, sorry it did not work out. But please don't throw out the pattern; put it on freecycle.com or list it as free at craigslist.com. Even your top, with which you are so disenchanted right now, shows lots of potential. (Honestly, I think it just needs minor tweaking to be perfect, but unfortunately I am not skilled enough to help.) I myself am still trying not to have such a strong emotional response to what I sew. But when something is good, I am totally ecstatic, so maybe when something is bad I react equally , just in the opposite, negative direction.

Oh no, I LIKE it! If I had just looked at the picture of you wearing the top, I would have never dreamed it hadn't turned out as you had hoped. I hope when you have a little soak time, it'll grow on you. :o) You've put so much work into it, I think it's a KEEPER. :o)

I was rereading Threads JUL 07 and there was an article on rayon jersey knits and the top that was photographed looked a lot like this one--longer, but with lots of looseness and more of a cowl neckline. It really looked great and I thought of your top as I was reading the article.

Instruction 17 is confusing; I think I did put it together as instructions indicated, but did it intuitively. Sleeves for View F are larger than arm hole; guess I'll ease them in, though instructions don't mention this.

Thanks for the review. I wish I would have read it before now. I am sitting here ripping out the yoke for the 2nd time. I never thought about a mistake in the directions. I also thought it would take a few hours. That was yesterday morning. Once I get this yoke on right, it should be a piece of cake. Famous last words, right?

I thought it was me! I just could not wrap my head around those instructions in step 17; they completely contradict the picture. Thank you for clarifying.
