Hi Laura- congratulations on completing your first garment! they really are a different animal all together than making bags, blankets, ect... my goal this year was to transition into learning to fit clothes, rather than just making up patterns that never fit properly. with the help of PR, i am getting it done. you will too! keep practicing. try to resist the urge to just trim off seams allowances- trimming too close without a second row of straight stitching or zig-zag may make your seams open right up if you actually wear the item! don't give up! be proud of your skirt and try again with your other fabric and all of the lessons learned from this one:)

This is a great job for a first attempt at clothing. Congrats!

Congratulations on starting and finishing your skirt. You see all the talent on PR and think yours will be like that right away. It takes time and a few mistakes to learn. You did a great job.
