You know, I actually really like the floral version (at least on the dressform). The neckline on these isn't a good one for me, which is why I haven't made these up, but I do love that frill sleeve--it's really cute!

I've taken to making huge facings myself, even when not provided by the pattern, especially in the back. It's the only thing that keeps them from popping out, and keeps the neckline in place. So be careful about doing away with them :-).

The slash neckline looks quite uncomfortable. But thanks for the review it has given me food for thought.
