Betzina in Power Sewing, and she does it there for a vest, just as you have done. In her case she had a very unusual fabric (an open weave, fish-netty thing, with circles "embroidered" on, as I recall) and seamlines would have interruped the fabric's design. I have made the knit top from this BEST of 2008 pattern, but do not wear it because I feel a bit like the Michelin man or the Pillsbury doughboy with my muffin-top tummy. This vest idea just might make the top wearable in fall and winter. You have done a fabulous job "jiffying" this pattern and I love how you've styled the vest. Thanks for the ideas! 8/22/09 10:10 AM
