Thanks for alerting us to the narrowness at the ankle - I don't think I could get my humongous feet through that small an opening!

I had the same experiences with this pattern. Have no desire to make it again!

I forgot to add that the directions that came with the pattern were in French!

I didn't have a problem with the waist, but I usually have to alter for a bigger waist and I didn't do that on these. The leg openings are narrow, but they worked for me. I was concerned though; they are not wide legs openings!!

Linda- I bought this at JoAnn Fabrics in Delaware of all places. I was amazed to find the French directions. It was humbling since my schoolgirl French is not too good. Luckily the pictures were adequate. Rhonda- for a shorty I have big feet, and there was no way my foot would slide through that opening! Another thing I didn't mention was that the fit in the crotch was good and required no adjustments.

This pattern sounds great for a first try and now that I'm warned about the hem needing more width, it's a "go" for me. By some fluke, I bought TWO of these patterns -I guess I really liked it!
