Congrats on your first garment done all by yourself. You did a wonderful job. This is how I started out as well. Although this may have seemed a bit daunting to you this time, you will get to the point that something like this is simple and you won't even look at the instructions. Keep up the good work. With every thing you make, you will learn something more, and if you have a flop......you have learned what NOT to do. Don't be afraid to jump in, make mistakes and learn!

They look very comfy! I think you did just the right thing with the waist elastic. It should be made a little smaller than the actual measurement of the wearer's waist so it is comfortably snug.

Great job--on both pants and review! I'm sure your daughter will get a lot of wear out of them. :-) Next up, you should purchase a serger to make your overcasting even easier! :-P
