I have made several of the jackets and love it! I can see how the serged sleeves can be a pain! For the zipper I would recommend using Wonder Tape! It would stabilize and hold the zipper in place . I feel like I can't sew a zipper without Wonder Tape, this stuff is awesome! Also your jacket looks so great! I love the flower!

I love your fabric jacket - it led me to check out your photostream and I got some fabulous ideas for clothes for my dd. (I'm not creative so need to ride on the coattails of creative folks like you). You are able to make something stylish, functional, and with great kid-appeal!
