Leora, that is a good question. The batiste hardly weighs anything but I will check and find out. The large bag weighs 25 grams (just under an ounce) and the small bags weight 13 grams (1/2 ounce). A small plastic bag from the produce department weighs 4 grams (1/8 ounce). Sorry, I don't have any of the large plastic bags available to check the weight.

Wouldn't you pay more if weighing your veggies in these instead of plastic? I like the idea otherwise, for refrigerator storage.
