Pattern Description: Project Runway pattern with a multitude of options to choose from. I made the dress with the bodice overlay, knee length skirt and the "flange" straps.
Pattern Sizing: Size 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of!
Were the instructions easy to follow? This was my first Project Runway creation. Since I am relatively new to sewing, I had some difficulty with the "mix and match" process of creating this dress.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really like the straps. The dress is sleeveless, but it feels a little more "covered" with the wider straps.
However, the dress is a little low cut; and with the shape of the bodice I have to wear a strapless bra or it will show in the front.
Fabric Used: Silky polyester from Joann's.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any alterations, however I wish I would have done something different in the back. The skirt flares out awkwardly over my big booty and isn't very flattering. I wish I would have read some of the other reviews before making the same mistake! I might eventually take it apart and put in darts.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Probably not, but I would recommend it to others. It is cute and comfortable.

Hi Lara, I admire all the effort you've put into the dresses!! I think the results are okay, as far as I good see them on the dress form. I can remember myself as a beginner in sewing. I made a skirt that didn't flatter my type of figure at all!! But along the way I succeeded in finding the best patterns and shapes for me. And even now 15% of what I make is so, so. But a lot of things are fun to make!
The dress looks very pretty. I love the sleeve and neckline design. Keep on sewing and the fitting and alterations will just keep getting easier. I appreciate your review.
