I got an opportunity to look at this top in person and because the knit curled to the inside, it did not look like a raw edge. Then I stopped at a boutique and noticed that quite a few of the garments were finished with raw edge trim. Of course, I was way too conservative and finished my neck binding and bound the edges of the decorative curve. Next time I will be more daring.

I think that it is such a cute top, maybe it will grow on you!

Hi Tanya! I think the shirt looks just fine on you, but I certainly understand that the description and photo need to clearly detail that the edges are raw. You might find that if you lettuce-edge those raw edges, you may enjoy wearing the top more. To lettuce-edge, set your machine for a tight zig-zag, then very tightly stretch your raw edges, both in front of and behind the presser foot as you slowly stitch over the raw edges - you are controlling how quickly the fabric feeds through as you stretch. Keep the needle in the fabric as you release, and grab the next bit of fabric to stretch. Rest your hands as you need. When you have completely encased all the raw edges with the zig-zag, you will have a ruffled edge, which will be enhanced if you then wash and dry the garment! I've done this with several different knit garments and people are always commenting on how great it looks and asking how to do it. You've nothing to lose but a bit of time and some thread! BTW, a contrasting thread is fun and adds another dimension..............
