I found this adorable cardigan sweater at a thrift store for $3.00. Still had the retail tags on it. So I had to grab it, but had nothing really to wear it with. So I whipped up this quick one pattern piece bias skirt in nothing flat. From some cotton sheeting I had in stash. I have entered it in the Pattern Stash contest as the pattern was also from stash.
Pattern Description: Misses pull-on, elastic waist gored skirt in two lengths and bias cut skirt in three lengths. The gored skirt also has the option of flounces inserted into the vertical seams.
Pattern Sizing: Misses sizes 6-20. I made the size 14 and it fit just right.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Not really. Simply because the fabric choices on the envelope front were very fall and winter looking. My fabric choice was a very ingenue, spring looking cotton print so it ended up looking completely different from a style point-of-view
Were the instructions easy to follow?Super simple. The whole skirt is great for a beginner. Can easily be made in less than 2 hours.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Speed and ease.
Variety of style choices.
One pattern piece for the bias cut skirt. Can't get simpler than that!
Love the flounce inserts on the gored skirt. Very cute!
Dislike - nothing in particular. An experienced seamstress will be bored as the pattern is nothing special. Just a good ol' standby pattern.
Fabric Used:A cotton sheeting floral in Easter egg colors.
Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will probably try the gored skirt with flounces. And I'll keep this on hand for when I want to whip up a skirt in an hour or two.
Conclusion: A "meat and potatoes" pattern. Nothing spectacular, but not everything has to be a road show!

your fabric choice is a good one to go alone with your special purchase sweater however, there's not enough of the skirt in your photo for me to appreciate your skills or the pattern.
