I dunno, Londa; in spite of your doubts and reservations about both fit and construction, the dress is dynamite on you! Have you asked your Significant Other for an opinion?

Londa, I agree with Elona this is very sexy on you. Thanks for the detailed review.

It's kinda low cut, but at least you have the bust line to pull it off. I haven't bought this pattern because I had similar reservations about the design.

Great review, Londa. Thanks for your take on this pattern. I have not seen a photo of this dress taken at the angle and it almost seems like a vintage 50's style on you. Very elegant.

With the alterations you made, this dress is far more becoming on you than the pattern photo. I think it looks lovely.

That is a deep decollete! Probably not for me either. The length you added to the sleeves is very attractive. I think it looks great on you, not withstanding all your reservations! I agree with the other comments~ very elegant.

Looks great! I had read somewhere that Loes intended for this to be worn with a shell for modesty.

THank you all - you make me blush. Tiner - I'd DEFINITELY agree about wearing a shell under - but, hoenstly, think that would look quite dorky. I"ll post after I wear it dancing Friday night - but I well know that if one feels uncomfortable in something, they look that way too. Wear with style, or don't wear at all has always been my motto. This one may well end up on a new site that sells my stuff!

I agree, Londa, my first thought when I saw the picture was WOW that looks stunning!! All your hard work resulted in a beautiful dress! Thanks for a thorough review.

I have to agree w/ the others, your finished product is much more becoming than the pattern pics, yours looks great!

This looks really good on you, I think, even if it's not exactly what you might ordinarily choose. The photos on the pattern envelope really don't appeal to me that much, but I would buy this pattern based on your results. If I had your nice shape, that is!

You could knock em dead in that dress! Your astute alterations made a "silk purse" dress out of a "sow's ear" pattern.

Your dress is very sexy! Definitely push them up if they are going to show. ;) . You've done a great job fitting this dress.

Hi Londa, the dress is lovely, but like you said, if you're not comfortable. . . How about a long slinky print silk or chiffon scarf to just let hang from the neck when you're sitting or walking through a room? It can be left at your seat while dancing or draped about your hips. Just a suggestion.

Great review. I have had mixed results with LH patterns. I don't think I look like the model for this dress and just could not pull it off as well as you did.

You look fantastic in this beautiful dress. If I had your figure they would have to pry it off my cold, dead body. I'm curious to know if you wound up wearing it?

Thanks for this review. It might not be a very good pattern, but it certainly looks great on you. (You will have to go get one of that bras for yourself, if you haven't yet.)

I was looking through some older LH reviews and came across this one. I agree with everyone that this dres looks fabulous on you - at least in the picture. I'll have to look for the fusible straight tape that you suggest.
