This is such a beautiful skirt. I love the alterations you have made--to take the godet from a rectangular piece to a wedge shape, I can't even understand how you would think to do that, but WOW! Wonderful. And then to tie it up with the rick rack to get the billowing effect . . . you really gave an already nice pattern some real spice and pizzazz (sp?).

Great! thanks so much for the reshaping the godet information, too. I am short and curvy (in a good way), and although period stuff suits me, I do not want to look thick around the hips as I'm short waisted. Anyway, enough about me: if you are ever interested in posting more info on how you reshaped the godets, I'm sure a lot of us would love to learn from it. Well done! :)
