Ah, very lovely. Nice touch to add a lining and the lace at the hemline. Thanks for mentioning the book on linings. I went back and read your review on that spectacular blouse, too. You have put together a quietly classic outfit that is a perfectly paired with the black tights. Also, everything is quite lovely photographed against the backdrop of the blue (bus stop stand?).

Nothing wrong with a great basic neutral skirt! I like the hidden details of the lace, the mitred corner and that clever lengthwise ease in the center back lining. That's new to me and I can see the wisdom in it. You'll be able to wear this with so many things, and it looks great with your new blouse!

Great skirt! I have the Marcy Tilton's Easy Guide to Sewing Skirts, and the lace hem for the lining is in that book too-love it!
