Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. It made view B and the finished skirt looks exactly like the pictures.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
For this skirt you won't need the instructions but yes; the instructions were easy to understand. Even if your language is not English.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the fact that it is very fitted around waist and hips. The only thing I might change the next time round: the flounce could sit just an inch or two lower.
Fabric Used:
A woven wool mix in a very dark blue. This fabric flows softly but is heavy the same time. Perfect for this kind of skirt, I think.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The usual one for me: lengthened it about 3 inches but wish now I would have added another one. I like to cover my knees and the thin part beneath. Did not work this time.
I also topstitched the two front seams and added 6 buttons to give it a sailor-y look. This can be seen here.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I very much think so. It depends on finding the right fabric.
Conclusion:
Very quick project, great fit, good addition to my wardrobe, goes well with my vintage jumpers - good choice.
