Nice job. What was the width of your FOE? It looks wider than the FOE I've used, but I didn't know they came in different sizes.

Dr. Sue, I'm not sure how they classify the sizes on FOE. The one I use is a little more than 1 inch and it folds to 1/2 inch. Does that make sense?

Ann, what an eye-catching skirt! It's wonderful. I have a quick question... did you roll the hem or serge it? In the picture, it looks serged rather than rolled.

Thanks everyone! Robie, I used the built in rolled-hemmer on my serger, so the answer to your question is yes and yes. I did not do the Cynthia Guffey style hand-rolled hem, and I still can't get the durned roll hem foot on my machine to work to my satisfaction, even after all these years! So I go with the serger. Really lovely, and the fabric choice is great. I made this skirt a couple of months ago in a black & white georgette, having lengthened it by about 15cm - I agree it is very flattering and lots of fun to make.

Your skirt is lovely. I'm glad you like it. I made this in view A and I'm quite disappointed. It looks wonderful on the hanger, but alas, I look like an aging cheerleader wearing it! Perhaps if I had used a print, as you did, rather than a solid it would look better. I was trying to show off the design element with the solid.

Ann, thanks for the review on view A. I bought this pattern for view A (waited a long time for it to be restocked at my local fabric store) and noticed the reviews all seem to be of the other views. Now I'm inspired to make it. Did you serge the seam allowances? Love your fabric--great skirt!
