How is the sizing? Why did you need to take 4" out? Would a smaller size been easier to use?

This is so cute! The fabric is perfect. That collar... Absolutely fabulous.

The sleeves and top and collar were sized fantastic, but the waist was HUGE. I have a 26 inch waist and 36 inch hip and it was SO big when I put the first seam in. To make it look tailored, I took in the seam in all the way down the the hem. I started at what would be your shoulder blades so as to not make it too tight up top and gradually moved in until I took up another inch in between waist and hem line.
