Thanks for this review. I am constantly debating which cardi-wrap to make and reviews like this help. I did notice the back length was not very long. Yours does look good though. I think you either like this style or it's not for you (like your mom!).

Very nice. Pam, It doesn't look like Maude to me. But if you made it longer in back, it might! Like you, I thought the pattern was more difficult to sew than some reviewers have indicated. (I haven't reviewed mine, yet, due to being out of the country and a million other excuses, including the fact that it has all probably been said.) The short version might tend to look more Maude-ish than the longer one -- which I made and wear wrapped and tied. I also made the Vogue 8463 wrap (also not reviewed--yikes), but I like this one better, because of the nice drape from the neckline. It grows on you -- I wear mine all the time and get compliments.

Time4me- Thanks I looked at the Vogue on - I have some great RTW knit stretch outerwear I love and the Vogue is more like that - (but I would add pockets to that). JD - Yes, I definitely felt the same way. It was very hard to work with. I would definitely make it better the second time - and it's super comfy. I can't wait to see your review. I sense you emphasize with my frustration - I almost threw it out the window!! But you're right - I really like it now! I can't wait to see your reviews!!

I agree -- It does grow on you! I wore my muslin (of all things) during a late vacation to the UK, over a silk turtle neck and it worked well -- I was unseasonably warm for Nov. It's time for Christmas sewing now, but I would like to make another one. Like you, I am always very critical right after sewing, but something that I thought initially was terrible often turns out to be a favorite.
