Project Runway pattern features a variety of skirts with 4 yokes and 5 skirts styles (all pleated, different lengths). I used the lower rise yoke with the shortest length skirt. Pattern Sizing:
I used a size 18. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes - but I didn't exactly follow them. I put the waistband on differently than suggested but otherwise I followed the instructions. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the lower rise of the skirt. Most of the skirt patterns I find sit at the waist and I like them to sit maybe an inch lower. Fabric Used:
I used a quilted cotton I found at JoAnn's. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I had to shorten the skirt by about 4 inches! I think this was supposed to be a knee lenght skirt, but on me it was way too long. So I took off about 4 inches and it's now perfect! Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
A great fun skirt! This is only my second project start to finish (the first was too big) and I think it turned out fantastic! Skirts like this are fun to do - especially for a beginner like me.
