Lovely outfit, both the top and the skirt. I also think a invisible zipper in the back would work better and you could eliminate the seam allowance on the front by putting the center front on the fold of the fabric.

Very nice skirt. I agree with you on the front zip - a back zip would be more to my liking as well.
