I can understand not liking it for the excessive hand-stitching required, yet it appears to fit you pretty well.

It looks nice in the photo! and it IS a lovely colour on you. I'm glad of your honest opinion of the pattern though, thanks!

Wow, that's a shame. It's really cute in the drawing. I hope you wear it at least once. That is YOUR color!

Sorry it didn't work out for you. It is so frustrating to put in the time and not have it work in the end. The color is nice - maybe you can reuse the fabric for something else?

I agree that it looks great in the photo! I don't like handstitching in knit patterns either. At least the puppy had some fun with it!

I'm sorry your effort didn't leave you with something you're more happy with, but I appreciate the candor in your review. The pattern illustration would have attracted me, and your top looks very cute. Still - as you said, life is way too short! Thanks again.

Hi there. I have this pattern and plan on making it because the neckline is so interesting. I've read through the directions a couple of times and agree that they seem a mite confusing. Before reading your review I'd considered doing a "muslin" of the neckline and hand basting to get it right. (worth it to me if the results are good and I'll make it again) Now I'll do that for sure. I'd love to learn from your experience so am wondering, is there any particular point in the directions where you think they are wrong or are missing necessary info? (or is it all a blur now?) At least from the photos I think your garment is a keeper, not a tosser . . . . Thanks in advance!

I wish I had read this review before starting my own pattern. The pattern picture looks good. I had problems with that neck piece, so much so that I left it for three weeks and came back to it to figure it out. It was my first venture into a knit fabric after a gap of 15 years and it has nearly put me off. I'll wear it, probably to do the cleaning in, but I don't like it. You have made a good job and it does look fine on you. I thought it was me being a dumbo with it so I feel much better now.
