Wow. I think this design is terrific. I've never tried Diane Ericson, but I'm inspired by your review. Sounds a little scary to tackle, though.

I am eager to see the finished ensemble. I've had this pattern forever, loving the lines and all the design possibilities. Your fabric combination is elegant.

Interesting to see your versions of this pattern. I agree that you need to be willing to play with your garment a bit when "following" the directions ("going with the flow of" might be a better choice of words.)
