The fabric choice is lovely. the top looks well sewn even if you don't like it.

I bought this pattern last summer, because I liked the top and pants. I haven't cut it out yet. I'm so glad you posted this. I'll have to keep all this in mind when making the top. I love yours. I don't see "boxy", I actually see shape. It's really cute.

I cannot tell from your photo that there is anything wrong with the top. I don't know if you are very critical, or the photo just shows you at your most flattering angle! That bra showing issue is a issue with me too.
