Your daughter looks great in her black skirt. I'm impressed that you could decipher the German enough to construct the shirt. Kudos!

I wonder if the yoke needs to be shaped smaller at the waistline in the back to keep it from dipping forward in the front. The skirt looks great from the side and also with the black shirt. When I make a similar style, I look for one with an A-shape along the side seams and the gathers in the front and back centers. I'm wider looking from the front than from the side view.... Looks to me as though you did a great job making the needed black skirt from the supplies you had available to you! Good job!

I think the skirt looks pretty on your daughter. She may have had something else in mind, but it is obvious that you did a very nice job of sewing the skirt for her.
