You brought back memories. I made this exact dress almost 20 years ago as well as the men's shirts in both "science officer" blue and "Captain Kirk" gold. As I recall, the knit fabric was very forgiving and I didn't have much trouble with the size for the dress (other than it was too short) but the men's shirts were all over the place depending on the fabric. I always wore the dress with black leggings. Oh yes, it is still hanging in my closet though I haven't worn it lately....
