This dress is so cute. In the time it takes me to just pick fabrics to go together, you have the dress made and appliqued. The applique is perfect for the dress. Very cute.

I'm wondering - did you apply the sash/tie with the bottom of it at the top of the apron? or did you apply the sash/tie with the top of it aligned with the top of apron? Basically, going around the bodice? or the skirt/apron section? The pattern does not say and I'm becoming frustrated... it appears like the sash should be applied to the bodice, but when I did that - it just didn't look right...?? Does it straddle the seam, I wonder? If I attach it to the apron/skirt section I think there will be too much bulk for proper alignment. Any tips you could offer, would be great!

You baste the apron on to the skirt and gather it as one unit with the skirt. The sash and ties get sewn on basically over the finished dress.
