Thanks Cathy. I have seen the shelf bra in swim suits but have not seen one in a T shirt. I liked the pattern picture and I might want to buy it but I do not want the built-in bra.

Prabha- a shelf bra is a built in bra-there is a separate pattern piece that duplicates the front and back pieces of the top but ends just below the bust, then elastic is sewn to the bottom of that piece. the separate shelf bra is sewn separately and then basted to the top before the sleeves are attached and they are then treated as one piece when you attach the sleeve. Oh to be able to post a drawing of what a person is trying to describe! And yes- the tees can be sewn without the shelf bra. Cathy H.

Hi Cathy: I am unfamiliar with a 'SHELF bra". Can you explain a bit more as to what is involved in sewing one on. Also , can these tees and the tank be sewn without the shelf bra? Thanks in advance. The web sight does not explain much.
