Nice job on these pants. I recently made pants and had the same loose thigh issues and am not sure how to fix without the pants taking on an odd shape or having them too tight in the bum. I really think your pants fit perfectly and are supposed to be looser through this area. You might be right that the trouser style is new to you. Nice work, thanks for the review.

I think they look great! Especially compared to the fit most of us get from ready-to-wear pants :-)

Pretty pants! I really like the width of the waistband and how it sits--not too high, not too low.

My pants tend to fit baggy in the same way. I want to try this pattern so I spent some time looking around to address this issue. I found this article on Threads that will address the bagginess. http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4309/tapering-or-widening-pants. This might help.
