Christy - I'd like to surprise a coworker with something new for herself. I know that she wears a 2X in Lane Bryant clothes. Any idea how to translate that to KwikSew sizing? Thanks.

Super! This would make a great pallette for embellishment too, like embroidery or applique work. I also wear a 2X at Lane Bryant, but in this case I felt that the 2X would have been quite large in the shoulders. Maybe it would help to see if Lane Bryant has a website (or if you could find one of their catalogs) that would give their measurement chart, then compare that to the Kwik Sew measurement chart. I would tend to think that the 2X would fit, but if she carries her weight only in the tummy and hips like I do, it may be too big through the shoulders. BTW, the 2X shorts fit wonderfully with no alterations.

I really appreciate your announcement at the start of this review. For anyone wanting to read about plus sized patterns sewn by plus-sized sewers, this is very attention grabbing. Maybe all of us plus sizers could do this. Thanks for letting us know about this winner.
