I LOVE IT!!! I guess I would ha ha. I think I need a sleeveless one in my collection too. I love that fabric too and the fit is perfect!!

love your new dress! The fabric you chose is beautiful! That's pretty funny about your son lassoing things with your jewelry...what a 'boy' thing to do!

Beautiful dress! It fits you perfectly and the fabric is great, too. Thanks for the photos of the fuse tape. I have read about it but had never seen it in action. Great dress! Love the necklace, too! Talent runs in your family.

What a lovely dress and a very helpful review. Great idea to convert a knit top pattern into a dress.

There should be another category EXTREMELY Helpful in the review rating.....as this one would surely qualify. Gleaned much information and inspiration from this review. Thanks so much for the tips about the fusible tape (especially with the cover stitch!) What a beautiful example of your creativity - turning a top into a dress. Excellent !

Cute dress, I sew for my 5' 10" daughter so know all about adding lots of length.

Agree with Elsew, an extremely helpful rating would be right. I learned a lot and really appreciated your tips on the different tapes. The dress looks great on you, and looks both and casual--very versatile and rtw professionally finished. If your daughter doesn't make jewelry, I live in Salem and can help fix the necklace if you're in the area. (I read your comment on the weather on the jacket review--it's even windier today and feels and looks more like fall than spring. Hard to dress for this.)

Wow - thanks everybody for the kind comments. You all are great cheerleaders :) I have had this pattern on my wishlist ever since I saw HeidiHo's dress version of this pattern. She deserves all the credit. I hope to see others try this easy modification - it is so gratifying to have something made that fits nicely in such a short period of time!

That dress is so good looking. I am really happy that I have this pattern in the stash already or I would have to hit the buy button after seeing your version.

Loved your feedback on this pattern; at 6'3" I have to lenghten everything I make. I especially love when I can quickly whip up an incredible outfit for next to nothing. Great Job!
