I am glad you mentioned this. I bought the book as well, as I think it is set up so cute. I did read other reviews, so kind of knew that it was boxy, and it doesn't look like there is much shaping. I made a boatneck the other day with sweater fabric, but I used one of either my Jalie patterns or the CJ basewear II, and just changed the neckline into my version of what a boatneck would be like for me. As I know they never leave enough shoulder. I just checked I did fold over to make the neckline, but the fabric is more substantial than jersey. Jersey really is hard to work with because it curls and it is so stretchy. Also, on mine, I did take in the back as I am narrow in the back, and also took out a horizontal wedge, because the backs are so big, but I also put in a dart. I haven't used any of the Wendy knit patterns yet. After reading your review, I think I would just use them for inspiration and leave them folded up in the envelope, or maybe sell it. Thanks for taking the time to provide all this good information!
