Very pretty dress! I really like the color too. You did an excellent job transforming the Vogue pattern into a "knock-off" of the dress in the magazine, but of course it will fit much better.

Beautiful dress. Your daughter is very lucky. I have a hard time believing that it is "easy to sew." I think that it would not be so easy for me.

Wow. Want to adopt me, so you can make me dresses? Much nicer than either the original pattern or the dress you are copying. (I agree; that one does look like it's about to fall off.) -- I had to test the new edit feature that Deepika added. Didn't really need to edit my comment.

Amazingly gorgeous, Debe. All of your modifications to the pattern made it even more beautiful. I'm printing out the pictures and the review for my DD to see...something tells me that she will want one just like it one of these days. Thank you sooo much for sharing this review. Your sewing expertise just shines in your creation. Since it was made for your DD, I imagine that every stitch was sewed with love.

Thank you all so much!! The encouragement we get here from others who also love to sew makes all the time and effort seem even more worthwhile. jlg- This pattern would absolutely be easy for you. (you have made a wonderful wardrobe for yourself) But I realized that I should have "qualified" the "easy to sew" rating for this review by saying that the pattern as it is meant to be made would be easy to sew. The pleating wasn't so easy. I would love to have the instructions from the designer of the dress I copied! I'm sure it wasn't done the way I did it. :)

Your daughter had to be the Belle of the Ball. The gown is a head-turner, as is your daughter. Congratulations on a fabulous creative: the gown is breath-taking.

Thank you so much everyone for your comments. I edited the photos because I realized in the night that I should have cropped them so that my sweet girl and her date's faces weren't on the WWW. Also, please read about my criticle mistake in the update.
