Began taking photos all during the project a few years ago. Sure makes it easier to show rather than just write it out in words. And is great if you want to write a review. JD, I had used that braid before and found it was hard to conceal the ends if you do a simple fold-back. Came up with the oval ending on a caftan I made last year. Love how it all blends right into together at the crossing point. Hmmm, may have to do a review of the caftan as it was an easy project.

Beautiful bag to match your other garments and very fascinating process -- Thanks for going through the steps. Interesting how you added the oval design with the braiding at the bottom of the applique and then hid the ends.
